Mazda Drive For Good Gives Back
While a company needs to be good at business to survive, giving back to the communities that support it is also important. The Mazda Drive For Good campaign is their way of saying “thank you” to customers and employees alike. The campaign has gone on for five years and looks to continue into the future.
In the past, during the Mazda Drive 4 Good winter campaign, Mazda pledged one hour of time for every test drive taken in a new Mazda vehicle toward a worthy cause in our community and communities across the United States, from collecting food for homeless shelters to cleaning up parks to building new homes. Over the last several years that Mazda has held this event, Mazda employees have pledged more than 260,000 hours of service.
Mazda donates more than just volunteer time, however; they also donate $150 to worthy causes for every purchase or lease of a new Mazda. Mazda has donated more than $15 million to worthy charities across the country.
For 2018, the Mazda Drive For Good program changed to give financial support for four national charities and 42 local charities with $5 million in donations throughout the year, instead of just during the holiday season. What was once only a winter promotion has expanded to be a year-round commitment to local communities and non-profit organizations.
Here at Mazda of Bedford, we’re proud to represent such a socially-conscious brand.
